I Started Online Marketing Somewhere In 2016 And It’s Been A Roller Coaster Ride For Me.

And now, I want to share my knowledge with you so you can avoid making the same mistakes I made, and start seeing success in your online business sooner.

So whether you’re just getting started in online marketing, or you’ve been at it for a while but haven’t seen the results you want, I’m here to help you. Here on my blog, you’ll find actionable tips and strategies that will help:

  • boost your traffic
  • Convert more visitors into leads and customers
  • Make more sales and profits

Our Story Starts in early 2017

I ventured into internet marketing back in 2016. I started out learning how to buy and flip domains but I didn’t find success doing this – in fact, I incurred losses.

Rising from those losses, I pivoted into freelance writing (freelancing) for the better part of 2016 and this is where I found a little success. However, it wasn’t enough to sustain me so I kept looking for other opportunities.

I eventually found success with self-publishing on Amazon KDP in 2017. With a steady slow grind, it became one of the fastest businesses I ever created; Amazon KDP made me over $1m million in revenue in 3 years.

After a stint writing as a freelancer for clients, I got hooked on the premise of passive income opportunities (I mean, it was tiring writing and trying to beat deadlines with the demands of a home to run, a daughter, and a husband to cater for).

Our Core Values

I discovered kindle publishing and I got hooked on the income model. I started publishing on Amazon in 2017 and have never looked back. It was a life-changing opportunity for me and my family that it became one of the fastest businesses I ever built; making us over $1m million in revenue in 3 years.

Now, I teach new students and beginners how to start and build profitable kindle publishing businesses.

Meanwhile, in 2011, I had a stint blogging for passion (it never really made me any money then). But I abandoned it and a few years later, I had to resume blogging – but this time, for profits.

I have successfully built blogs that bring in well over $2,000 in revenue monthly. I set up chiomaezeh.com to teach people about building profitable online businesses.

With a 7-year career in online marketing, I can say we have had amazing experiences setting up online businesses that ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY.

However, it was a long road to get here

Like many others, I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of starting my own online business. I’m a very ambitious person and the thought of being my own boss, making my own hours, and most importantly – making good money while doing it – sounded like a dream come true.

I tried a lot of things – jumping from one shiny object to the other, from freelancing to dropshipping to crypto trading to blogging to affiliate marketing – and finally found my niche with Kindle publishing.

It was a long journey, but it was worth it. I’m now making a full-time income from my Kindle business and loving every minute of it.

I want to show you that it is possible to make good money online. I’m not saying it will be easy – nothing worth having ever is – but I promise you it’s POSSIBLE.

If I CAN do it, you CAN too.

Our Mission

That’s why I created this blog – to show you that it is possible to make a full-time income from your own online business.

I’ll be sharing everything I’ve learned about building a successful online business, from finding the right niche to marketing to scaling your business.

I’m so excited to share this journey with you and I hope you’ll join me on this amazing adventure.

Story of My Life

01

THE BEGINNING

I was born into a family of eight. My father was a businessman and my mother, a health consultant. I was the first of six children, so you can imagine the kinda responsibility I was ladened with (hint: you don’t wanna know).

But I was always a very curious child. I was never content with just sitting around and watching TV or playing with toys. I wanted to know how everything worked and why things were the way they were.

This curiosity led me to ask a lot of questions – so many, in fact, that my parents used to joke that they needed to buy me an Oxford Learner’s dictionary :). I was always asking them what words meant.

This curiosity has stayed with me throughout my life and has played a big role in my success as a writer and entrepreneur.

I’m constantly asking myself “why” and “how” things work, and of course, this helped me to find creative solutions to problems and come up with innovative ideas.

I LOVED school too and had always had good grades. In fact, I always loved learning, which is why I decided to venture into the field of sciences.

The 2000s – My Teenage Years

The 2000s were my teenage years. I was a typical teenager who loved listening to music and playing sports.

I was also very interested in boys (shocker, I know 🙂 ). But that’s not what you think. I was always fond of being around boys and spending time with them. I just had more fun with boys than I did with girls.

This led to me having more guy friends than girl friends, which was fine by me. In fact, I still have more guy friends than girl friends to this day.

High school was a lot of fun for me. I played tennis, volleyball, and football – yes, football! In fact, I championed the case for a homegrown female football team (at a time when there was none as most of the girls didn’t want to play football).

And I captained the first-ever female football team in school. That was a huge one for me, and it taught me a lot about leadership and teamwork.

2001 – From Struggling Student to Straight-A Student

I was always very athletic and enjoyed playing sports. I was also very competitive and loved the feeling of winning. In fact, my competitiveness is one of the things that has helped me to be successful in business.

I loved spending time with my friends and doing service projects. We would go on trips and do fun activities like road trips, camping, and canoeing.

But I was also a good student and worked hard to get good grades.

I was also on the debate team. I loved debating because it allowed me to explore my talent for arguing (which, as you can imagine, often got me into trouble 🙂 But despite all these and despite being a good student, I didn’t really have any plans for my future. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life.

All I knew was that I loved learning and that I wanted to help people in some way. And I loved the sciences – particularly the health sciences and in fact, medicine.

It wasn’t until later on in my adulthood that I started to get more curious about the world of business. This curiosity led me to start reading books about business and entrepreneurship. I was fascinated by the stories of these self-made millionaires and billionaires who had built their businesses from scratch.

I remember reading biographies of people like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Richard Branson and being in awe of their stories.

I knew that I wanted to be like them – I wanted to be my own boss and build my own business.

2007 – The University Year

After high school, I decided to study medicine. It was always my dream to become a doctor, however, I couldn’t gain admission into the University of Nigeria, which is where I wanted to study.

I worked hard and got good grades, but unfortunately, I didn’t get into my first choice Uni.

I was really disappointed, but I decided to take it as a sign that I was meant to do something else with my life.

So, I took a gap year and worked as a teller. It was during this time that I developed an interest in business and marketing.

I loved the challenge of trying to sell products and services to customers, and I was good at it. I was always the top salesperson in my branch.

After a year of working, I decided to apply to university again. This time, I got into the University of Benin.

And then everything changed.

In 2008, I met the love of my life – my husband. I was only 22 years old at the time, but we knew we wanted to be together forever.

The 2010s – From Student Life to the Real World

After I graduated from university, I decided to take a gap year to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.

I had always been interested in business, and I knew I wanted to start my own company someday. But I wasn’t quite sure what that would look like.

So, I took a year off to study for masters at the University of Lagos. I studied Public Health, with a focus on Biostatistics.

I loved my master’s program, but I still wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do with my life. So, after I graduated, I decided to take another year off to figure things out.

This is when everything changed for me.

2013 – Got Married

I got married to someone who would change my life forever – my future business partner, my husband, Francis Ezeh. He was a serial entrepreneur, and he had started several businesses.

I was immediately drawn to his energy and his passion for business. We started talking about business ideas, and we quickly realized that we shared the same vision for our future.

We wanted to build a business that would make a positive impact on the lives of people in our community. And so, we decided to start a company together.

So, we got married in late June. It was a small ceremony with only our immediate family and closest friends in attendance.

2015 – The Start of My Entrepreneurial Journey

The birth of my daughter, Janelle, was a game-changer for me. She made me want to be a better person and do better for myself and for my family.

So, when she was born, I decided that it was time for me to fully take the plunge into entrepreneurship.

My brother-in-law had muted the idea of making money online and that was how I got inspired to start my online business journey.

I started my first online business in 2015, and it was a huge learning curve for me. I was trading stock-backed multilevel marketing schemes and I had no idea what I was doing, and I made a lot of mistakes.

Then, I ventured into freelancing, crypto trading, and ultimately Kindle publishing. Each of these businesses was a stepping stone that led me to where I am today.

2016 – The Year of Trial and Error

The year 2016 was a tough one for me. I made a lot of mistakes and I experienced several failures.

But with each failure, I learned more about myself and about business. I became more resilient and more determined to succeed.

This was the year that I truly started to find my footing as an online entrepreneur. I learned how to pick myself up after a setback and keep going.

2017 – The Pivot Into Amazon KDP

After the ups and downs of 2016, I decided that 2017 would be the year of the pivot. I focused on creating new online ventures with a passive income model.

This led me to Amazon self-publishing, and this is where we really started to find success. It was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it.

2018 – The Year Of Growth

In 2018, our business began to grow. But more importantly, I made some major strides that enabled me to scale my businesses even further. We now have a team of 30 people, and we are generating millions in revenue each year.

I made the decision to systematize my businesses and put processes in place that would allow me to delegate more effectively. This was a game-changer for me, and it allowed me to focus on the big picture.

This was the year that I really started to see my businesses grow and thrive. And it was also the year that I started to make some serious progress on my long-term goals.

Now – The Leverage

The year 2019 was a big year for us. We finally hit our stride and we started to see the fruits of our labor pay off. Our business took off, and we started to generate a lot of revenue. This allowed us to invest more in our team and in our business.

We also made some key hires, and we brought on some incredible talent. This was a turning point for us, and it allowed us to scale our business to the next level.

We are passionate about helping people achieve their dreams of financial freedom, and we are grateful to be able to do what we love every day. We are so grateful for everything that we have accomplished, and I am excited to see what the future holds for us.

Thank you for reading my story. I hope it inspires you to chase your dreams and never give up on yourself.

To your success,

Chioma.
